Default Arggh BUGS.. Help

Hey guys.. Bugs have attacked my car.. I tried a clay bar, got some off.. I tried the Seafoam bug remover, got even more off.. Tried Tropi-care swirl cutter, help a little more.. But there are some stains that just WILL NOT COME OFF!!

Whats my next line of defense?? Should I take it to someone professional to have them take care of it?

I feel your pain. Had this happen going over a bridge here in Florida. My front end and windshield where covered. I thought it was raining bugs. Had to go straight to car wash and clean the corpses off. They where still fresh so it wasn't to bad.

Holy squished buggs batman!

I think I threw up a little!

bobby, it sounds like you tried the basics. You need a polish
with more cutting power to get the etching/staining the bug
guts did to your clear coat.

If you don't have an electric polisher, take it to a pro.

If you do have a polisher, I recommend something with a
medium abrasive like Meguiars #80

Hmm ok.. I do have a question. I took my firebird in once in to get it buffed out.. The used a mild abrasive to get all of the junk off of the clear coat.. They said it would "restore the luster".. Well, when I got the car back, it was ALL swirls and looked terrible.. Will using an abrasive with an electric polisher do this??

yes it will
you should not use any harsh abrasive on your paint
maybe they forgot to polish your paint
that is the order of things

hmm ok... I'll probably take it to someone that knows what they are doing.. I'm going to get a bug shield for now to help cut down on the bugs and tough out the winter salt.. I'll relook at the front in during the next spring and decide what I need to do..
