Default Burn Hole in Headliner

Alright well I have a 2005 tc. And now I have a burn hole in my headliner by my driver side visor. Is there anyway this can be fixed? Unlike most cars the tc's headliner barley has any fabric whats so ever, i mean you can rub ur finger across it and if you do it fast enough you will wear a hole in it. Does anyone know if it can be touched up?? Since it looks like thers 2 pieces of the roof in the tc im also willing to replace that entire piece for a new one if thats possible. Please give me some feedback.

That sucks...Not sure exactly how much it would be but I would imagine a couple hundred bucks for the headliner then it would be a pain to replace by yourself and a good 2hrs of labor if you have it done.

Try not smoking in your car and you don't have to worry about burn holes or your car smelling like an ash tray.

Dude, heres a cool alternative.
Go to www.Syfabrics.com
Buy some fake micro suede (It's actually good stuff)
3 yards will do.
Pull out your HL, it's REAL easy, maybe 45 minutes of work.
Wrap the headliner.
OR
Bring it to an upholstery shop. The labor shouldn't run you over $200, $300 at MOST to wrap the headliner. I got my HL and Pillars wrapped in blue micro suede, and it looks awesome. It's a cool, fairly in expensive mod, and if you have a hole in the HL, nows the perfect time to do it!

Hey I'm interested in doing this - and I see that online there are two types of micro suede - 1 regular and 1 w/backing. Do you know which would be best for doing the headliner? Also, how did you adhere the micro suede to the headliner so that the material doesn't just hang down?

bump!

anyone know which kind of microsuede works best for redoing the headliner? (w/backing or w/o backing)

also, how do you attach the material to the headliner when you wrap it? spray glue? iron-on adhesive?

yes, the dealer can order but if your going to do that save some money and install it yourself it shouldn't be that hard, but your going to pay through the nose, you could try a salvage yard

anyone have a guess on how much it would cost for that one big piece of the headliner since it comes in 2 pieces i dont need 2 new ones. so the cost of it and a dealership to do it?? some people at yourtc.com said that the one piece would run me $600 alone. i can't imagine that one piece of like cardboard material with a little fabric on it would be that much.
