Default Changing the color of the Luxaura light tubes

Hi All,
forgive this question, but I am a newbie at all this. I just got my Xa and it came stock with amber interior lights. My Scion is indigo, and I think if I change the interior lights to blue as well, it would look pretty cool, I ask you guys this, is it easy to get and install a different color?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

As far as I know you are stuck with the amber clock, but you can change your a/c controls. Just take a look in the tech section of this site. Its simple took me 20 min.

Sorry to confuse anyone. I meant changing the color of the luxaura light tubes that light up my floors. The ones mounted under the dash.

Thanks again

i have heard that you can replace just the led portion of the tube, but dont know for sure. You could also swap them out for cold cathode lights, which will be brighter.

My understanding is you can change the color, but you have to change the LEDs at the end. The under dash lighting is basically two ends and a "light guide" that runs in between. You can change the ends to the color you want.

All you have to do is go to your Scion Dealer and buy the Blue LED's, 4 of them, not the tubes. Attach it to the wiring that already connects to your amber ones. It is quite simple.

Good to know, thanks! I was a bit bummed that my cup holder lights give me 7 color choices plus an aut cycle through the colors but I had to choose one color for the floorboard lights. I went with blue and they're cool as heck. I hate the amber color of the clock and stock base radio! yuck!

AHHHH... im so happy this is so simple!.. I knew it had to be.. I've been searching for an answer to this question...

BUT... i just called the dealership and no go. They said they dont sell aftermarket type things. Im looking to change mine from blue to red anyways... which im sure they dont have.

I would just order the leds or run down to autozone or something... does anyone know what type of LED is used??

Im trying to get this done today.

*EDIT*

I called autozone and the person asked me what an LED light is.. then told me they didnt have any... ahhhh this is Alabama living!!
