Default Cleaning an intake pipe?

I plan on making a custom intake using an Injen intake piping with an HKS cage filter. I wanted to clean the piping on the inside but dont know whats recommended? Injen doesnt sell "inside the pipe cleaner" nor have i seen any on the shelves at any stores. I googled it but came up with nothing. Im thinking of just soaking it in soapy water for a good while?

i would stuff a wet towel in one end and pull it the whole way threw the other. Then use like a can of compressed air or something to make sure none of the fibers from the towel got stuck inside.
