Clutch Pressurization Issues

Clutch Pressurization Issues
I've seen threads on this but no definite answer or solution.
I have a 2006 Scion TC with about 110k miles on it. With the car off I can press the clutch in and out with no issue. But if I press the clutch when the car is on it sticks to the floor and the only way to release it is to manually lift it back up with my foot. The car is barely drive able and I can put the car in gear but have to lift the clutch back up after I shift.
From research the issue seems to be with the Master/Slave Cylinders. I brought my Scion into the local shop describing the issue and my thoughts. Later they call and they say they don't see any leaking/issues with the master/slave cylinders and they think the whole clutch needs to be replaced and the pressure plate as well. He seemed very confident about it.
Obviously that would be 10x more costly (parts + 8 hours labor).
Thoughts? Should I trust the guy or is it really the master/slave cylinders. Any help would be awesome.
Thanks a ton,
