Experiences with 5 Star???
I'm a bit unsure about this "5 Star Shine" product...
Does any Scion owners used this 100buck product and kept your "brand new car shine" without reapplying anything except tire black and routine car washes? May I please see some pics on how it still looks?
Also, they mentioned that the US NAVY and Air Force uses this stuff, if there are some base peeps here, please confirm that?
Thanks!

Have you ever seen an aircraft carrier? It's not very shiny, is it.
5 Star Shine is marketed towards people who don't want to wax their cars every week but their claim of five years is ludicrous.

The general consensus, from the people who've used it, is that it looks ok and lasts decently long enough but generally a year is pushing it. It's definitely not a concourse wax or anything of the like.
However, for the money, I would definitely recommend the Ultima line. The paint prep polish and the paint sealant (Paint Guard Plus) is 100 dollars together but you get FAR more applications than 5 Star's 70 dollar 2 oz bottle. Ultima will also last at least a year, and then some. It's also a concourse oriented product so it'll shine very well.

I agree with the above. I too have read the 5 Star Shine will last up to a year or so, 5 seems crazy, but it's not necessarily the best looking product.
Ultima is really supposed to be a great line from what I've read and seen.
If you really don't want to spend much, try Duragloss #105. It looks great and is also durable. Their Aqua Wax is also a nice product to maintain the look and durability.

Can I see pics on how shiny the Ultimas get with MF handbuff or PC random orbital polisher with the wool bonnet? (I prefer using the PC polisher since it actually removes swirls.)
And does anyone prefer that cheap Klasse all-in-1 polish?
Thanks!

Neither 5 Star nor Ultima's Paint Guard Plus (their sealant) will remove swirls, with or without a PC. However, Ultima has their Paint Prep Plus (PPP) that, when used with a cutting pad, will remove a considerable amount of the light swirling and still finish to a very fine gloss. Also, I would shy away from using wool to apply your sealant. Wool for sure has good cut but that's exactly why it's not the best for the last step product.
Klasse is an excellent AIO (all in one.) I would use Klasse AIO before any other AIO. Some people complain that it's a little too plasticy looking but that's easily fixed by topping it with a carnauba wax. For me, Klasse is what started me away from waxes and towards sealants but I've since moved on.
