Gouged skirt/bumper
I misjudged a curb while parking this afternoon and gouged the bottom front skirt on my Xb. Look like it went straight through the paint, and left an indentation.
I recently bought some touch up paint and have read about the touch up magic product, but I'm not sure how best to deal with the indentation. Can I buff it out??
Has anyone made a similar repair?
Thnx.

If it's white, you're in luck. Go down to your local hardware store and get a roll of white electrical tape. Cut a piece to cover your parking rash. It matches so well that the fix is invisible unless you point it out. Be happy!
Black electrical tape might work on a black xB. I have no idea what the folks with in-between colors might do.

In all liklihood there will be more to come over the years. It's sad when the first one happens though. I wouldn't mess with it, it's not gonna look right Unless you get a real body shop to handle it.
Affter a few days have passed it doesn't bother me as much as it did when it first happened. And this morning I just got my first parking ticket, grrrr.
Still I'd like to try to buff it out, aply the touch up paint I bought, make a project of it some day--if I knew that the job was do-able by someone without experience.
Life goes on--and I still love driving the car....
