Default Guage Cluster Vibration

I know there have been issues with vibrations and have gone through some previous posts and can't find that is similar to my problem. I just picked up my 2005 xB on Friday. I notice that when I hit about 3000rpm there is a vibration coming from the guage cluster, or at least that's where it sounds like it is coming from. I am going to take it back to the dealer tomorrow to have them look at it, but was wondering if anyone else was having this problem.

Thanks.

I wish it were my sunglassses, but no such luck. The vibration was there the moment I pulled out of the dealership. I thought I would put a few miles on it, to see if it would go away, but it did not.

I had the EXACT SAME THING happen...and it still happens three months later! Yes, and there is a tsb on this. If the dealership tells you they can't find the problem bring them a brintout of the following tsb:

there are a few other rattles, buzzes etc. you may encounter as well. It is an economy car.

My xb is doing the same thing. I tried pressing on the clear plexi that covers the gauge cluster and the buzzing disappeared. Ask the technician to place some felt in between the plexi and the plastic that surrounds the gauges.

I took the xB in today and when I picked it up after work the vibration was gone!!! They used a 1/4 double side sticky foam around the entire gauge cluster, between the plexi and the gauge surface. I refered them to the service bulletin and they said that was specific to the 2004 xB's. They told me that with any 2004 bulletin, they try to take care of the problem at the factory with the 2005's (i.e. the AC problem - it has been corrected in all 2005's). If enough people have the problem then a bulletin for the 2005's will be issued.
