im lookinig for the wiring diagram for the gauge cluster or the ecu, and i cant find it anywhere!!! i'm trying to find a tachometer signal without tapping into the crankshaft position sensor which i was told by a toyota tech i could do. im installing a full a-pillar pod and without the proper wire i.d. im just going to waste time splicing and checking 40+ wires, so can anyone help me out?? or direct me where to go??? thanks a million

The harness behind the gauges should have 2 black wires... its one of those... here's a wiring diagram for most of the wires in the tC.

Don't you think it might be a bit different on an xB?

 

Here is a pretty quick and bad chop of the wiring diagram page, but it works. This is the wiring as it comes out of the ECU, so you should be able to trace it out from there. I could not find he gauge cluster wiring but thought this may help.
