Default help! rear liscense plate frame screw stuck...

Ok so I got an Injen CAI, and it came in the mail today. They send an Injen liscense plate frame, so I wanted to put it on. I still had the scion dealership (Steet Toyota/Scion located in Yorkville NY) plate frame that they put on when I got the car over a year and a half ago. Easy to do right, just unscrew the screws, take off the frame and put the new one on and then screw it back right? Wrong. It was a major pain in the ___ getting the right screw out, but I somehow managed to do it. The liscense plate and frame fell off, but the left screw was still in the car! I tried to pry the left screw out, it wouldnt turn or come off, and eventually the top part of the screw just popped off. So now I have the rest of the screw still stuck in the hole, and theres such a little tiny piece sticking out that theres not enough to work with. It wont budge, I've tried spraying it with lube but it wont move and because the piece thats left is so small, I am stuck with no idea what to do. Should I take it to the dealership first thing in the morning? Any suggestions? I need any form of help at this point

the dealer will most likely drill it out and do a left hand thread tap if they need too. there are some extractors that might work you'll have to drill first is the only thing. but they get tapped in then you use a wrench to turn them and back it out slowly

Yeah, I'd go to the dealer with that probelm. You should have sprayed it with WD-40 if it didn't budge.

alright.... so i decided to take it into the dealership today. i called them in the a.m. and since i had my 15k service yesterday they were a little sympathetic and said to bring it right in (normally the service dept at my dealership arent too nice). so im driving to the dealership without a plate on (i didnt have them drill holes in the front bumper for a front plate, and since i didnt have one on the rear because of this problem, i was "plate-less"). you wouldnt think that id have so much bad luck that a cop would pull me over right? haha, you betcha, i was pulled over not even a mile away from my house for not having plates the cop was nice enough to understand the situation, and i just made up a BS response saying that "i thought in NY state its legal to not have a front plate" because my windows are all tinted (except the front windshield), i couldnt have put the rear plate in the rear windshield, so he understood and let me off. at the dealership they just drilled it out and put the new injen frame on and now we're good to go.... phew what an adventure!
