Every car i have had from turbo stangs to wrxs to an evo to the xb. I change them every 15k. Preventative maintenance -- a lot of people find that wasteful but eh. I've NEVER had a problem and I like to read my plugs to be absolutely sure everything is nice and good. Its also a wise idea to run a compression test when you change your plugs.

Just my two cents.

Eh, I know it calls for what it calls for.. but in all my cars i use copper. I've been using copper plugs on everything from turbo cars to nitrous cars to naturally aspirated to motorcycles, etc. Never had an issue.. I have had problems with iridium and platinum plugs (as have a lot of performance minded individuals).

You go to the local track on wednesday or friday night, 20$ gambling events and you will find 9 times out of 10 that people from big blocks to turbo 4 bangers use copper.

I wonder why most homes are wired with copper? Why most cars are wired with copper? I dunno maybe its because its one badass conductor.

Granted platinum and iridium are great but from my experience over a wide range of cars (from nitrous stangs to wicked wrx's to super supras, etc) - copper has hung there.
