Default I scraped going into my driveway, black goop on framerail

Alright, so I have the most idiotic driveway I can imagine. I had my car loaded down with luggage and people backing up into my driveway yesterday. I scraped, and thought maybe I caught the sideskirt (has happened once or twice before). I park the car and get out. I notice a wierd black thing on my driveway ramp. I pick it and notice it feels rubberized...strange. I look under my car, and see the joint where the two parts (front and back sections) of the fraimrails seem to join, and notice I have managed to scrape off what looks like extra black goop from the seam, although I cannot get a very good look at it.

My question is: What is this stuff? Just undersealant, or structural adhesive. Should I worry about this, or is it nothing to be alarmed at. I am taking the car in in a day or so for an alighnment. Depending on what information I can get on this substance, I will either blow it off, or have the dealership look at it. If it's undersealant, it doesnt bother me much, considering it doesnt snow here, and we don't salt roads (I could always get it up on a lift and re-apply undersealant, a can of it is cheap). If it is adhesive of some sort, I would want it repaired of course.

Anyways, any info on this stuff would be greatly appreciated, I'm not even sure if this is the right part of the forum to ask such a question, but decided to give it a shot.

Thanks in advance

I had that happen to me as well. I think that it is nothing to worry about.

Just had it checked out by the Toyota dealership while my car was getting alighned, they said it wasn't a big deal.

I'd wager it's the factory undercoating. It's black and goopy.
