I'll stick with my California Water Blade and a microfiber towel.

 

too bad if you have hard water at all those filters last at most 2 washes before they stop working. way too expensive to be worth it. i use a fake waterblade and chamois.

 

We have hard water, and my filters last around 5 - 6 washes. Also, I have never had rain-x last through a car washing. Any soap I use takes it right off. Even a touchless car wash takes it off.

 

I don't care for the whole Mr Clean system. It was more trouble than it was worth. I do like the final rinse filtration.

According to the instructions the soap isn't supposed to damage your wax. It leaves a residue of some type that prevents the water from beading up. Once the car is dry it's supposed to bead when wet like normal. If I remember my one and only use correctly, this held true.

Don't know... I love it. Good soap, dries completely spot free if you use it correctly.

I use Mr C only for the final rinse. I find washing the car with car soap and mit much easier and with a better result. Mr. C works great for that final rinse.

 

I use a wash mit with my Mr C.

I was unsure about the whole thing at first but now I swear by it. The faster I can get done detailing a vehicle the more I can enjoy it.

 

Yeah, I use the wash mit that came with the Pro kit, loving it.

 

Me too. Plus using The Absorber or a Chamois will handle any little spots you may have missed while washing.

Someone on here had talked about using distilled water in a pressure sprayer like for gardening and such. I may experiment with that a little... just as a final rinse.

water blade scares me. direct contact and pressure on paint.

 

Well, at some point you're gonna have to make "direct contact" with your car in order to clean it.

I've heard the blade can be dangerous if you get something stuck and drag it across your paint, but I've owned 3 black cars and have never had a single blade related scratch.

And the Mr. C filter died on me after 2 washes! I'll save my money and dry by hand.

The filter that comes with it is only stated to be good for 3 washes. The ones you buy afterwards are made to last longer.

 

hmm.....I'll stick with the bucket and chenille......then chamois and microfiber for drying and buffing/waxing
