Default Leaving WAX on car OVERNIGHT?

Would there be anything wrong with leaving a wax on a car overnight in a climate controlled garage?

My salesman suggested this when I talked about waxing techniques... has anyone else done this or does it make for a better or worse detail?

I have had to leave some on for an hour once and it was pretty close to impossible to remove. As far as the finish is concerned, I noticed no difference.

^ you applied it too thickly max.

as for leaving it on there for a long time, there's no difference. in fact, leaving it on so long would allow dust and dirt to settle onto it. When wiping the wax off, you would be rubbing this dust and dirt into the paint potentially causing swirling.

neothin knows his stuff

if you wait a while, do yourself a favor and spray it down with some detailing spray to help dampen the dust that settled on it and minimize swirls
