What manual transmission lubricant do YOU use and do you like it? Synthetic? if so, which? Stock? if so, any problems?

I hear redline mt-90 is the best so I am debating b/c I am one of those who clunks hard 1st - 2nd gear cold start - previous cars were a lot smoother in everyday driving...i'd like to get that back.

I switched to Redline MT90 about 2 months ago...definitely feels a lot smoother.

One more quick thing to anyone.... Anybody know how many bottles of MT-90 my tC will take? Each bottle is 1 quart. 3 bottles enough or will I need a fourth?

Come on guys, I find it hard to believe that nobody here knows how many quarts of MT-90 gear oil I will need, you all seem to know everything about everything when it comes to the tC!

 

transaxle should hold 2.6 qts.

RECOMMENDED OIL VISCOSITY: SAE 75W-90

 

i used 2 bottles of mt-90 which is a 75W-90.
