Default Need quick guidance on maintenance for an 06 TC

I have an 06 TC with 98K miles. All I've done is change the oil and tires. We just had a new baby so I have time off work and want to get everything done to my car I need.

The manual doesn't say that I should have done anything for the TC so far. It says that the XB and XA should have gotten spark plugs at 30K and so on, but nothing for the TC.

I think I'll need new brake pads, but what else should I get done, or should I just get the mechanic to check it out and tell me what I need done? It sucks to do that though since they charge you a ____ load just to tell you what you need done.

change the transmission oil, and i think tC should change the sparks at 60,000 miles but not sure about it.

yea definitely get the trans oil changed. I have a 5 spd manual and it cost me around $100 even for that at the dealer. Also it's time for you to get the coolant flushed and refilled. The coolant should be changed every 100,000 miles. I would also recommend spark plugs if you haven't already done that. I put some NGK Iridium IX plugs in mine at 50,000 miles. Lastly I would recommend some sort of fuel injector or fuel system cleaner. Amsoil P.I. works pretty good.

Damn you got ripped off. The 5 speed on the camry/tc/xb2 is very easy to change the fluid on. $35 is all I spent on 3 quarts of redline mt-90, a few tools to remove two bolts to drain and refill (already had tools), and removed the air box. Took about 20 minutes total.

yea i wanted to do it myself because I wanted to use the MT-90 but I just didnt feel comfortable doing. Plus I didnt have any sockets that fit the drain plugs. I would have done it myself if I felt comfortable doing it though. At least I dont pay them to change my oil...
