New EBC Green Stuff squeaking bad! HELP PLEASE! :)!!
Here's the situation:
I recently had a mechanic friend put new front and rear EBC green stuff pads on my 06' tc with 35k miles (first pad change). They came with shims to prevent vibration. We used the clips and plates from the prior brakes. The original brake pads weren't squeaking but they looked to be getting low so I was trying to be proactive for once.
I've driven almost 1k miles since the new pads were installed. They squeak pretty loud when applying the brakes approx. 25-50% and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Sometimes there is even a revolving squeak when I am not breaking.
My mechanic is on vacation for two weeks and I have no tools (and i'm not particularly mechanically able). Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or is there some way I could check to see what the problem is exactly? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

My tc does the same thing with the Axxis Ultimates, used the same clips from the old ones etc, and it squeaks real bad when you apply the brakes and I hear that squeaking noise when Im driving without applying the brakes, most noticeably if the wheel is turned a little bit.
I would like to get new pads but I am probably getting close to needing new rotors as well. I am AFRAID because I don't want to spend all this money replacing the pads and rotors to end up with more terrible noises. Might even be better to go back to oem.
I wouldn't worry too much. I made the same mistake and bought to same pads you have. They stop great, but the whole time i had those pads they were loud as hell!!! I do NOT recommend EBC's on stock tc's at all! I first thought they were just breaking in, but it just continued for the entire life of the pads. My rotors are still in great shape though. For my next pair i bought prostop or something like that from pepboys because they stopped carrying the Wagner Thermoquiets which i really like... no noise!
