Default Oil Filter Question

Hi Guys...Quick question on Oil Filters. After my first oil change in my '05 xB, they used a YZZA2 oil filter. It was time for my second oil change, and I deceided to do it myself. I went to the Toyota/Scion dealer in Ontario to pick up an oil filter, and they sold me a YZZE1. I didn't realize they were different until after I already drained my oil and removed the filter. The YZZE1 fit fine, but is it okay? If anybody knows the answer, please reply.

Thanks!!!

The E1 is for the xA/xB, the E2 is for the tC, whoever changed your oil the first time jacked it up.

i think u posted on the wrong forum, but anyway the YZZA1 is actually for the tC. the original stock oil filter is 90915-10004 on the tC. i don't know about the xB though.

That's what it says on the box and the filter. They actually looked different on the inside too.

Yes...that was one of the only sites where I could find anything related to the YZZE1. Most other sites specify the YZZA2 filter. I just want to make sure the YZZE1 is an acceptable oil filter for the xB.

Ask the dealer that sold it to you, ask the guys in the parts dept.

Ok...so I called 3 different dealerships, and two had similar responses. From what I can gather, the last two digits seem to be a manufacturing code regarding the country in which the filter was made. I believe the YZZA2 is made in the USA, and the YZZE1 is made in Thailand. They are both Toyota parts...and both should work fine.
