Default One free Manual transmission?

i think i heard my dad say something about that...
its for a 09 tC. i got ask him again to make sure.

dont think it includes the clutch. which is most likely to wear out first.

im a pretty decent shifter a little heavy on right foot sometimes but the gas prices are lighting it a little. =/

well i dont think my transmission is going to be busted anytime soon.
My sisters VW beetle 2000 1.8T has over 128k miles on it (3 ppl learn how to drive stick on it) my uncle which learned fast and me got it down in about a week or a total of an hour or 2. didnt get to drive very often. my sister stopped stalling with in 3 months...i thought the transmission/clutch/starter/engine was going to blow... after putting another 30k miles on it (all her) the car is still fine. i feel every gear change like a hammer... and its still fine.

okay...i think what he is going on about is...he learned how to drive manual transmission on his tc...and he wants to know if he ruins his transmission from his crappy driving, will toyota replace it for free?

the answer is no. clutch is a wear and tear item, and warranty work covers manufacturer defect, not operator error. and not damage from teaching people to drive on your car.

One way you'll get a free transmission is if your car is still under warranty and something like below happens.
And more than likely you'll have to pay for the labor of taking apart the transmission if it turns out to be your fault.
This happened at ~25k miles...the disc broke and the spring popped out while I was driving.
