I've had a few chips in paint due to lovely I-75 commute every day, and I just got my paintscratch.com order in and applied the paint (gotta wait 48 hours before sanding and adding clearcoat), I see the primer is a light color, I'd say light colors show it less.
I think there's no better color for hiding scratches (and dirt) than silver. My mom's silver lancer is niked and dinged to hell and it still looks better at a glance than my indigo ink pearl. I managed to keep the paint in mint condition until i had to go back to the dealership to get the ground effects installeed... when i got it back the ground effects kit had several DEEP scratches. i tried to point it out to them but they didn't seem to care. and by that point i was so tired of arguing with them over other issues that i just gave up.
