Default Is this a problem?

While I was in the drive-thru today, as I was getting some change from the center console, a penny fell in the gap where the parking brake is. I did my best to feel around and looked in there with a flashlight as best I could, but couldn't find the coin. So my question is: will this affect anything or will my car be fine? Btw, since I couldn't see it, I'm thinking maybe it could've fallen thru since there is a gap between where the parking brake housing (I guess that's what you can call it) is and where the carpet starts, but I still can't find this penny.

pull up the center console, and grab it. it's really not a problem, but it would give you a chance to really clean the console, and the area around it, and underneath it.

I do it pretty frequently, but it's true that I have a box, and the console is easier. you could also look at it as an excuse to do some cupholder LEDs!

This is a pic of where it fell in, just for clarification, but like you were saying about pulling up the center console, do you just lift it up? Does it just snap back in to place? Thanks.

yup, pull the left and right struts on either side of the shifter up. they are tricky the first few times. once that is out, all the black parts snap right off. tis a breeze!

do a few searches around here. theres a thread about taking every single part of your scion apart. good luck
