I had my Scion tC for 3 months, and I noticed recently that the back of the driver's seat isn't as stiff as the passenger's. I noticed this while cleaning my interior. If you push back on my driver's seat-back it has some give to it, but the passenger's doesn't. Yes, for the most part I ride in this car alone, and I'm a fairly large guy. So is this due to normal wear and tear, is the driver's seat like that from the factory, or is this something that I should be concerned about (safety wise)?

Try retightening them and check to make sure they stay tight. If not use some Locktite on the bolts.

 

I talked to a dealer about this issue too. It happened to my tc and my buddies. The dealer walked us to a brand new 06 and it had it too.

 

This is happening to my xB.

I can feel the seat move whenever I accelerate, or brake.

 

Hmm... well maybe because the driver's seat has more adjusters on it, that's what makes it a bit looser.

That just looks like seat abuse. If that happened? How many times are they gonna keep replacing seats?

 

was not seat abuse....it was covered...replaced the whole seat
