simple synthetic oil question once again
can i combine two different brands of synthetic oils together???
i'm thinking of switching brands from mobil to royal purple right
i have 2 quarts of mobil 1 left and thinking about getting a small case of royal purple
and the question can be found at the top of my post

You should be fine. The better question is why?
In my personal(non scientific) experience(in my wrx) royal purple isn't as good as mobil one or amsoil. so i'd suggest doing nothing and saving your money. But its your money, your call.

I don't think it's worth it to mix.
It's more of a chemistry thing = oils have additives, and there may be something that doesn't work well with the two in there...
That said, it may not cause trouble, but for what, $12-15, is it worth the risk?
You can prolly find someone needy to give/sell it to.
