Default Stains from tire dress up?

The dealer detailed my car a week ago and put black stuff all over my tires, which promptly covered the side of my car. I finally had a chance to wash it today and now there is a ton of brown spots left. I went to the dealer and they're going to make an appointment, but he said normally that stuff leaves white spots, not brown (shouldn't it leave no spots??). I've never seen this before. Here's a picture, but it's out of focus because of the reflection. You can see all the brown above the sideskirt, it's a like that down the side of my car. This is a brand new car so I doubt it was anything else.

I tried Meguiars Paint Cleaner, but it only removed a little bit.

It's because the dealer uses crappy **** tire shine. Never get your car "detailed" at the dealer.... you'll be much happier

That's funny that they actually acknowledged the crappy products they use

The crap on your panels was sling from the tire shine. Maybe a claybar? Try some rubbing alcohol and water in a 50/50 mix on it as well. You'll have to rewax the area after you do this.

When I take it in I'm going to tell them to just remove the spots and not detail the car. I don't need more of that or the greasy crap they put all over my interior which turns my hands black.

Funny enough I have the same thing on my new car except they are staying black instead of turning brown

The dealer has had my car 3 days now and I finally talked to them. They said they took it a body shop which told them that it was tar, not the tire stuff, that caused this. Is that possible? It was only 1 week inbetween washes, I can't imagine tar would discolor it so fast, not to mention the side of my car was covered in black stuff, way more I'd pick up driving on normal roads.

Never, Never get your car detailed by the dealer. I used to get my Lexus detailed by the dealer, until something very similar happened, after picking it up from the dealer I noticed some spots on the paint around the tires. I could not stand it so I had to wash it right away and I guess I saved it. Ever since I always ask them not to wash or do anything to my car, inside or out. Is like the old saying goes "You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself"
