Default wash preparation and advice.

Hello guys, I'm here for some advice.

I want to devote atleast 5-6 hours on cleaning my car and making it look nice, because I've never actually devoted enough time to make it shine and look brand new when i got it.

I've notice my car has a few rock scratches on it and the hood has 1 or 2 tiny rock chips in the paint. I'm hoping that during the cleaning process I'll be able to cover these up or remove them, they aren't really bad, they're just blemishes in the paint.

One product brand that I tend to use the most is Meguiar's. They have the best line of cleaning and detailing products I've seen around. So my question is, what are some good products from Meguiar's to use to clean my car? I want to wash it, wax it, detail it, and be able to get out all of the scratches and blemishes in the paint. I also want to know how to hide scuffs on rims because I happen to have a few. And what also can I use for the best tire shine? I've noticed my tires look really dirty after a few days, and also my entire car. I'd like to know some helpful hints/tips to get me my best car 'look'. I know I should have done many searches on this but I figured i'd get all the information I need in one thread instead of searching for so many different things.

Get a random orbital buffer for waxing. It makes things a whole lot easier.

I was checking out autogeek.net and they look like a great resource for car washing/detailing... and I also did the thing on meguiar's website and I think that's what I'm going to go with, they seem to have everything that I will need in the future.
