i want to replace air filter on my 94 maxima, so i type in 94 maxima air filter in the search engine to do some research before i want to replace it, because i never change air filter before, but all it show in the result was air intake filter that come with all the pipe and stuffs, all i want to do is just to replace the air filter inside the air cleaner...

You do know this is a SCION fourm dont you? You might get a better answer from a Nissan forum.....

I dont have any experience with Nissans, but my guess is that it is a differnt name for the same thing IF you do not have an aftermarket intake. Do you see big silver/chrome piping under your hood? that mean you might have an aftermarket intake. You need to know the make of it to find out what filter it requires.

On the other hand, if you are stock under the hood, you probably just need a new air filter. Just tell the engine size, year make and model to any auto parts store and they can sell you the right one for your ride.

are you trying to ask about like an in-cabin air filter and an intake air filter?

just go the AutoZone and buy a freakn OEM replacement air filter, or upgrade to a K&N drop-in replacement, or go all out and get the Cold Air Intake!!

Replacing an air filter is as easy as opening a jar of peanut butter!

the general consensus among the better informed members of the forum is that an aftermarket intake will have minimal gains. Search around and you'll find some threads on the debate.
