Washed my car for the first time since winter started
And all is looking good, except for my wheels. There is a lot of grease/oil accumulation on the chrome lip that I couldn't get off with bug/tar remover, or some old fasioned elbow grease. I don't know where it even came from, as I would never have this problem during warmer periods, although that's probably due to the more frequent washes.
Anybody have a certain cleaning product they swear by that could probably help me get the gunk off of my chrome lip?

might be tar from the road. What I did before winter hit was put wax (meg gold class) on the wheels. Now any road slime just wipes right off. I know that doesn't help you now.
I think Eagle sells some wheel cleaner, but I've never used it, best to see what others suggest here. But when you DO get it off, and it's warmer, try apply a thin coat of wax to the wheels (be careful NOT to get any on the brakes/rotors), then buff off.. so next time it's easier to get this slime off.
