Hey guys just got a new xD 2013, 3 weeks ago. It's gotten pretty dirty and this is my first car ever. I watched some videos on how to properly wash the car. Apparently I've been doing all wrong on my beat up 89 Honda Civic. Like washing in the middle of the day in direct sun, only using 1 wash bucket, not having the proper equipment for the job. Well that's going to change and I need your input and help. I'm making a list of items to pick up from autozone or homedepot to wash my car. Here's what I need so far

two 5 gallon wash buckets
meguiars gold class car wash soap
fire hose nozzle (after watching videos and looking at the hose I have in the backyard I think I'll buy a new one)
a wash mitt - if someone can recommend a good one or I'll just pick up whatever they have in the store.
some shams

That's about it on my list for now unless you guys can recommend things to get. Also I'm not sure how to do wax. Should I even do it? Thanks guys I hope to get all the stuff by Sunday to wash my car for the first time.
