windsheild cleaner
I use armoral window and glass cleaner- It wont hurt the glass. but as an -on the side- car detailer: the best thing to clean inside windows is just plain tap water. i use an old glass cleaner bottle- fill it up w/ plain tap water, use some microfiber towels- and Im good to go!
I have Windex Auto. It smells nice and is ammonia free. But I'm wondering what is a better product for cleaning and polishing glass. Anyone out there? I might have to take this over to the autopia forums. i'm sure they know everything.
I've always had trouble finding somthing that doesn't leave a haze on the windshield that is incredibly annoying in direct sunlight. I know not to use ammonia, but all types of auto glass cleaners that I have used seem to have the problem. Is there a product that doesn't leave a haze?
Its the heat that leaves the haze! If You use water, you wont have a problem....Think about it - How dirty does your interior windows get? they probably get a little dusty, but not dirty enough to use windex...that why water works great!
Yes... standard windex has ammonia. Windex makes like 10 different varieties these days, but if you plan on using it in your car, just get the car variety, available at your big generic store (Target, etc.) or most autoparts stores. It smells good and works decent.
