Default Wrecked xB!!! ='(

Man i just got done writing a post about this lil scratch on my front bumper. Now im writing this thread about how i wrecked my Xb. Man this suxx. I Totaled my white xB just a few days ago. I smacked right into some big ol truck. It ran a stop sign, and i hit him on the drivers side. What a moron! I'm guessing all i have to pay is a $500 deductible, BUT! Im left without a car, but no payments. Its like im starting all over again. Doesnt that sound wrong ? shouldnt that morons insurance get me a new car, my xB was only a month old. I shouldnt have to buy a xB all over again. Anyways my car got messed up, and his truck barely had a dent. My xB put its life out on the line for me. Im surprised about how bad the car crushed in. Im thinking thats for the lesser impact on me. One More Question! Shouldnt my xB be replaced ????? :?

well a few things .. did the cops come ? did they tell you who was at fault...

were any tickets issued ?

if it indeed was his fault and he did run a light .. his insurance should cover everything ...

did you have any witnesses ?

Danger couldn't be anymore correct, you need gap insurance in case things like this happen...

If you have full coverage and the car is a total then you should be getting a check for said amount so you can get another vehicle....

if the crash is his fault, it is his responsibility to make you whole again. that means his insurance should provide you with (or reimburse you) a rental car until you get another xb, like the one he destroyed. Your insurance doesn't figure into this. Putting so little down on a car, paying a high interest rate or stretching the payments so long that you owe more than the car is worth, is a bad idea. paying an insurance company to cover the difference is an even worse idea. save your money, so next time you have a decent down payment.

I recently went through the hassle of an accident and my car was totaled (not at my fault). The happy ending is I now have a tC. :D

Anyway, I am assuming police came to the scene. Did the other driver admit fault? Was he issued a ticket for anything related to the accident making him at fault? If so, this will be a easily closed case against him.

Your insurance will have nothing to do with it. In my accident my insurance didn't know about it until I went in there and told them to take my old car off my policy cause it was gone gone.

I assume he at least hade liablity insurance and his company will be responsible for taking care of 100% replacement of your car or providing funds for you to do it and providing you with a rental in the meantime or until you get a check. Also they will pay for any med stuff.... even $13.72 for Vicadin at Walmart.

yeah the cops showed up.. but they didnt take no reports, or give any tickets, or anything for that matter. They just said "did you guys exchange information" we were like yea...then he was like ok.." is anyone hurt" ..no.. ok well good luck, bye. That was all he did...so that hurt my case against this guy..but i still shouldnt have to pay anything. this situation is still an ongoing thing, so hopefully it will turn out for the best. By the way i do have GAP...thank god... ..My car isnt payed off yet, i havent even payed the first payment on it...so i should just lose my downpayment, and thats it. Im still gonna push someone to pay that for me aswell. I'll post pictures whenever i take a digital cam to toyota of san bernardino. Well thanks for your guys input, it helped out alot, and gave me some things to discuss with my mom. Im only 18 so my mom is helping me out with this. Once again thanx..
