Default xB 30k maintainence - why no consensus/

the basic question was "what does a 2006 xB need at 30k miles?" the more important question is "why so many different answers?"
the maitainence schedule with the owners manual only lists a few items, air filter and spark plugs but no fluid changes other than oil. My local dealer says the opposite, plugs good for 90k but fluids should all be changed now. so I called another dealer and got a 3rd completely different answer.
Why are these people all giving different answers? seems to me there should be a standard formula. and what really needs to be replaced now?

Me personally Id flush/drain & fill all fluids, air filter, plugs, and most likely brake pads. I like to keep clean fluids in my motor to prevent gunk in any vital system. I hate working on cars that have sludge in all of their fluid reservoirs. Its sad...

there are some standard answers that some people follow and not all service advisors know what the maintenance guide says. keep in mind its only a guide and not the gospel. i would definitely change the plugs and engine oil. air filter doesn't need to be changed unless it's dirty. all the stuff they want to charge for can be done in your driveway.

Really, I would just do a drain/fill on your tranny fluid, replace your spark plugs, air filter, inspect brakes and replace if needed. Give it a nice wash and fill it up with gas and move on.

Anyone else have more input? Can this service be done at home?

Also, is "Air Filter" the same as "Cabin Air Filter"?
