Hurdy Gurdy - prototyp
Eerie, ethereal and medieval in sound. Haunting and powerful.
The album revolves around the hurdy gurdy, a sort of "medieval synth" (for lack of a better description) that is wired into modern effects. Very unique.
Composed as a side project from a few members of the two Scandinavian bands Garmarna and Hedningarna

Lord Wind - Heralds of Fight
All instrumental album…sounds like it could be a soundtrack to a Conan The Barbarian movie…epic, and powerful like a classical album, but add to that a war-like, "marching-off-into-battle" sound….

Since my player is on random, that is a bit hard to do.
Taraf de Haidouks - S/T
If you have never heard of them, you have never lived! Cimbaloms, violins, vocals, flutes, accordions......These gypsies are NUTS! (in a great way!) Exciting and technically superb.
The Sword - S/T
Straight rock n roll/blues/early metal ala Black Sabbath....as a matter of fact, if Sabbath came out today, they would probably sound like The Sword....nothing groundbreaking or technical, just straight forward R & R!

Koxbox - U-turn
Koxbox produced some of the finest moments in psytrance history. Four minutes into opening track youve been drilled into the floor, swung around the room by your genitals, then lifted up into a melodic run that sounds and feels like it could be from the early years. Essential psytrance

Ved Buens Ende - Written in Waters
An odd, sour and angular approach to metal (-ish)...a slithering bass winds in between the guitar with an unorthodox (for the style) yet very talented and technical approach from the drums creating a new sound, a new era for BM. Avante garde for sure.

Abruptum - In Umbra Malitae Ambulabo, In Aeternum In Triumpho Tenebraru
Whooaa…not for the weak of heart or those who are not mentally stable. An unstructured DARK (as in insane) ambient duo…tribal-istic style w/ a metal drone/dirge type guitar and bass sound. Vocals sound like they are being tortured. This is "music" to murder people by! NOT for the faint of heart!
