Antenna Location..
Hey guys, I was just wondering where the antenna was located on the xB I know it is not a regular antenna whip and I don't know if it is in the front windshield or in the rear.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yup. The radio antennas in the xB are in BOTH rearmost side windows - looks like defroster wiring. Speaking of wiring, here is the wiring between the head unit and the antennas:
Those diversity antennas also require an antenna amp, located up under the 'combination meter'...
And lastly, the antenna amp requires power, which it gets from the head unit power antenna lead:

wow talk about detail. See the reason I am asking is because I just got a XM Satellite radio and it gives me a car kit that I have to either use a tape deck, which my xbo doesn't have, direct audio jacks (red and white), or wirelessly through a select channel, and I want to get the best quality so the only thing I can do is wirelessly because I can't do the other 2.

Yea I bought one of the seperate ones. Not the kit for the car because I like to use it more than just in my car. I got one of the ones that you can wear on you and I have a home kit and a car kit. I will have to look at that site and see if they have what you were talking about. Thanks for the help.

I have the full xB Repair Manual set, the Owner's Manual and most of the accessory installation documents as computer files (.pdf).
I have a set on my server, a set on my primary machine, a set on my laptop, and BEST of all, a copy in a tiny, portable, keychain USB flash drive... :D
(Sounded like a good idea to me...)

Antenna puzzle
Im looking into upgrading my antenna for my 2005 Scion xB but I don’t have a roof connection all I can find that resembles a antenna is a little black nub in the top middle of the rear hatch and I can’t figure out how to upgrade the antenna from this nub. I am however leaning towards the “shark fin” style of antenna if it’s compatible with the “nub”. Any advice or suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thank you.
