I pray it doesn't come to some sort of military action but, if it does, someone needs to kick someone in the ___ if they mention putting troops on the ground in Iran.
Did you see that DeLay WON his primary in Texas? WTF? How much does a guy get to pull before people take a little pride in their country/state and stop that fool?

It goes back to the failure of the 2 parties and the system that has evolved in American politics. I guarentee you if a democrat had been in the same circumstances and ran in Mass. the same thing would have happened.
It's the "My party can do no wrong" attitude. The sooner people get off their collective butts and realize this process isn't the game those in charge want make it out to be, that it's a bad thing to choose a 'team' (complete with the team color, red or blue), realize the system set up to be "for the people, by the people" has failed and is anything but, essentially when they finally come to the conclusion that both parties are equally as bad, the sooner real reform can occur. [sarcasm]Until then, its the 'jump on the bandwagon' and mob mentality that serves the human race so well. [/sarcasm]

Like the war in Iraq. raq wasnt a game. It didnt matter if we could whip Iraqs butt. Any american that dies needs a reason why. Our forces are used to defend us against enemys both foreign and domestic. Iraq in no way fit that description. Afghanistan does but not Iraq. I dont vote for parties I vote for Individuals. I havent voted libertarian cause i dont like some of their platform, I dont vote republican for the same reason and i dont vote democrat becasue their platform has faults. I vote for whoever I feel is the best choice i can make. I think the political party system is corrupt and counter-productive to the interests of the american people.
Maybe we should elect the president by lottery

I'll tell you what I wouldn't be doing. I wouldn't be down looting Wal-Mart for plasma TVs while waiting for my government check to arrive. But that's just me.[/quote]
Thats the fun part! My friend and I would play a little game where we see how many plasma's or lcd's we can fit into his geo metro. It's the American thing to do, taking as much advantage as you can from evil corperations like Walmart. Especially during a crisis.

According to a February 7, 1991 briefing prepared for the Department of Agriculture, which was headed by Secretary Richard Crowder, the CCC loaned about $5 billion to cover Iraq’s purchases from 1983 to 1990, in a curve whose trajectory broadly matches the US government’s support for the Hussein regime. After the US declared war on Iraq in 1991, Iraq ceased repaying its CCC loans and defaulted on $2 billion of debt to the CCC.
