Actually, I have no idea who it is. Looks like he is on a tv show. Anyone recognize the set behind him?

Hmmmm...well, I'm at work now so I tried it. No go. They've done something here to disable the ability to play any video. It's not just a matter of a blocked website. Oh well. It's obviously something they don't want me doing, and it's certainly not worth my job. Thanks anyhow.

Meanwhile, a statement from Iran meant for delivery to the IAEA meeting appeared to threaten the United States with "harm and pain" if the Security Council takes up the Iran nuclear issue.

"The United States may have the power to cause harm and pain but it is also susceptible to harm and pain. So if the United States wishes to choose that path, let the ball roll," the statement said.
I think there is enough support in Europe (Really, not the imagined kind that Bush thought he had for Iraq) to have a combined-forces action in Iran if the need arises.

I pray it doesn't come to some sort of military action but, if it does, someone needs to kick someone in the ___ if they mention putting troops on the ground in Iran.

Did you see that DeLay WON his primary in Texas? WTF? How much does a guy get to pull before people take a little pride in their country/state and stop that fool?

Of course he did.

It goes back to the failure of the 2 parties and the system that has evolved in American politics. I guarentee you if a democrat had been in the same circumstances and ran in Mass. the same thing would have happened.

It's the "My party can do no wrong" attitude. The sooner people get off their collective butts and realize this process isn't the game those in charge want make it out to be, that it's a bad thing to choose a 'team' (complete with the team color, red or blue), realize the system set up to be "for the people, by the people" has failed and is anything but, essentially when they finally come to the conclusion that both parties are equally as bad, the sooner real reform can occur. [sarcasm]Until then, its the 'jump on the bandwagon' and mob mentality that serves the human race so well. [/sarcasm]

That attitude goes on in everything
Like the war in Iraq. raq wasnt a game. It didnt matter if we could whip Iraqs butt. Any american that dies needs a reason why. Our forces are used to defend us against enemys both foreign and domestic. Iraq in no way fit that description. Afghanistan does but not Iraq. I dont vote for parties I vote for Individuals. I havent voted libertarian cause i dont like some of their platform, I dont vote republican for the same reason and i dont vote democrat becasue their platform has faults. I vote for whoever I feel is the best choice i can make. I think the political party system is corrupt and counter-productive to the interests of the american people.

Maybe we should elect the president by lottery And when did our representatives stop working for us? I think local plebiscites should determine votes on issues.

I agree 100%. I always base my vote on where the person stands on key issues that are important to me. I really don't consider myself a "republican", but it just so happens that most of the people who felt the way I do on those issues have been republicans. I would gladly vote for a democrat based on the same criteria.

I'll tell you what I wouldn't be doing. I wouldn't be down looting Wal-Mart for plasma TVs while waiting for my government check to arrive. But that's just me.[/quote]

Thats the fun part! My friend and I would play a little game where we see how many plasma's or lcd's we can fit into his geo metro. It's the American thing to do, taking as much advantage as you can from evil corperations like Walmart. Especially during a crisis.

I honestly hope you're just kidding around. I would hate to think that the only thing keeping you from stealing is that you might get caught.

Maybe it's just his personal philosophy.

According to a February 7, 1991 briefing prepared for the Department of Agriculture, which was headed by Secretary Richard Crowder, the CCC loaned about $5 billion to cover Iraq’s purchases from 1983 to 1990, in a curve whose trajectory broadly matches the US government’s support for the Hussein regime. After the US declared war on Iraq in 1991, Iraq ceased repaying its CCC loans and defaulted on $2 billion of debt to the CCC.
hey...thats my birthdate. 12/20/1983. It just keeps popping up in the strangest places.
