My boyfriend recently confessed that since I developed this newfound passion for cars and racing, he finds me that much more attractive.

I am not sure if this is because we have yet one more thing in common, or if male car lovers directly associate attraction in both vehicles and women the same way, but I was genuinely fascinated, and I want to know if this is a trend.

By the way, he also said (after much prodding) that while the showgirls at carshows have "smokin' bods," their lack of automotive knowledge leaves many men wanting. He says that at least for him, he would look, he would take pics, but he didn't talk lest he screw up the fantasy... Ugh...but at least he's honest.

Any thoughts, all you ladies and gents?

 

i really think it's a big benefit to our relationship that i am into cars. i mean first off, we would've never met if it weren't for the both of us owning scions and going to meets. my bf is obcessed with his car and so am i (with his and mine occasionally lol) and he works on cars for a living. if i wasn't into cars that would probably be a big problem because we do talk about car stuff frequently and also being that we are in a club and we hang out with other car people a lot you kinda have to be involved or you feel left out. if i wasn't in the scion scene i think i would definitely be bored just going to meets and following him around and not knowing what was going on like some girls do. i think a lot of my guys friends are impressed that i want to learn about cars and that i do know a bit of information about cars and that i am so involved in the scene. i don't know why a guy who loves cars would'nt want an girl who was into that too.

my mom and dad are in a car club together also. my dad got her involved a few years ago and honestly it gives them quality time together and they both love it.

My bf is a Honda guy, but he loves that I joined a car club and is learning about my Scion as I do. And I learn about his Honda too. And man, is it a good time!

 

It shouldn't...I would hope that a conversation could be kept civilized no matter what the views...

I totally just broke up with my girlfriend of 7 years over Scion. I happen to work for Scion as well as being an xB owner and extreme enthusiast. I run a club here at the dealership and spend most of my weekends at shows. I also get the opporunity to travel around the counrty doing various things for Scion. The ex couldnt deal with all the time I spent away from her and all the attention I paid my club and my car. She was extremely jealous. It finally came to an end last friday. Personally Im glad its over. She was holding me back from my career path and love for Scion. Now I need to find another girl who is into cars...

That was the icing on the cake. Ironically I will be bringing my friend Dustin to Snowshoe unless a sluttier model type girl who knows something about cars comes into the picture sometime before then. Basically, I'll be taking Dustin...

Snowshoe is a Scion corporate event happening in January (in Snowshoe West Virginia) that I was invited to. I was angry that my girlfriend was going to be my guest because she hates cars and barely appreciates anything Scion does for me which is a lot...

having a gf who is into cars would be great, cause when your not doing your naughty deeds, your just hanging out with another buddy. also, you don't need to spend nearly as much time justifying why you need newer better shinier parts for your car! ofcourse, if your girl ends up with a better ride then you, it is kinda immasculating, and imagine how bad the arguments over driving styles would be even more brutal!

 

We can totally work together and remedy both our situations...
