ok, after downloading motherboard monitor, i realized its not my video card overheating, its my cpu. Its a intel celeron 3.0 ghz. I've had my comp for almost a year and have no idea why it wants to start overheating now. Im thinking about just getting a p4 and a new fan.... good call or no?

 

Athlon > Intel

 

Athlon definitely better than intel...and cheaper, too. Have you tried using thermal paste between the fan and CPU? Sometimes the heatsink can get hot and need another spread. Try that before you spend a lot of money on a new CPU and motherboard.

 

^^Yeah, but he is running a Celery processor....I think it's time to upgrade.

 

yea i need a new cpu, yea i know athlons better but its a different socket. thanks for suggestions
