dont buy pump gas on may 15th!!
Just got this e mail.
NO GAS...On May 15th 2007
Body: Don't pump gas on may 15th
Body: ...in April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.
If you agree resend this to all your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"

lol !
Like not buying gas for 1 day is going to do anything. Unless we all collectively boycott gasoline forever, there is no point to this.
You'll just fill up on the 16th, or 17th, or ....etc
lol @ myspace hippies trying to change the world.

How can anyone fall for this? Do you think the oil company cares? Let's just say, theoretically everyone in the USA doesn't buy gas for a day and the oil companies lose 21 billion dollars. Guess what, all those people are going to have to fill up the next day, and guess what, the oil companies just raised their prices $5 a barrel. Doesn't seem so smart now does it. They know we need gas. Until a major reform is done, nothing is going to change. We could go for a week and they wouldn't care, they would be sitting there laughing in their billion dollar mansions with their 20 exotic cars laughing at the $0.50 increase in gas prices they had waiting for us when we come back.
This is bogus and false. Buy gas on any day you wish.
