My wife works at a gas station. This really does happen weekly!! She sees it all the time. They also get the drive offs who come back an hour later and say, I am sorry I just realized I didnt pay. Stuff happens.

(another fuel story. I was pumping gas a few weeks ago after a show and I was standing back abotu 50 ft taking a phone call. I look up and the pump didnt shut off. I ran up and turned it off.yadaa yadda yadda. Next guy pulls up. I warn him so he stays and pumps it by holding the pump. Same thing happens to him. GAS EVERYWHERE. Some pumps malfunction.)

I have driven off once with nozzle still in tank, but fortunately it did not pull the hose apart, (I just stopped, hung up the nozzle and felt lucky, and it was not in the xB. In the xB I have had two different pumps not shut off automatically and gas spilled. I don't leave it unattended any more, when pumping.

Earlier this morning at almost 3am, me and my friend, LuvDaLex, were about to go on a canyon run. Since were running low on fuel, we both stopped by a gas station to fill up.

After we filled up, he took off so I hopped in the car to go after him but I totally forgot that the nozzle is still in the car. The hose separated from the couple as I drove off.

I ended filling out paperwork with the gasoline station attendant afterwards. Does anyone know how much this would cost me?
Well sadly enough this happened to me too, but I didn't have to pay a cent. I think the information is more for the purpose of them showing their insurance company or gasoline company, so they do not have to pay out of pocket.
