I hope you know black sharpie markers really are not black but more of a purple. Also they are not archival. You need pigment markers like sakuras. Bombing science sells some really good Graf markers that will work well but sharpies will fade to purple in a few weeks

Yep, I know all of this. It's ok that the sharpie ink will fade. I figure that about the time the ink's faded noticeably, I'll be ready to do something else with the hood. Thanks for the heads up though.
