The biggest benifit I see is the reduction of CO and NOX gasses to very nearly zero..
read the reports and think

Hmmm.... I still think it's a scam, but I'm trying to find the best counter-arguments possible.

BTW, leaning out the fuel mixture does increase the temperature of the burn, and you can do that without hydrogen.... You simply cut down on the air/fuel ratio!

To sum up the main arguments that it is a scam, I think they're basically saying that with that small an amount of water, that low of voltage and amps, and that small (and bad quality) of a terminal, you can't generate enough hydrogen to make any impact. However with the addition of a catalyst it could change things. Any chemical engineers in here? I'm better at st physics than chemistry.

Sir Watt,
The leaning out of the fuel/air ratio below stoimeteric optimum is cooled by the faster flame rate (300x air/fuel) and as I said B4 the O2 and CO gasses are diminished multifold.
See the other hydrogen applications also, but basiclly wer'e on a hydrogen technology now, by using hydrocarbon for fuel.
There is even a hydrogen extraction used in land fills, they use super high voltages to create plasma incenerators and mix the landfill material w/water, the plasma high voltage arc occurs underwater (?) and releases HUGE amounts of hydrogen (HH). Then they fire up jet turbines to drive giant generators and produce enough electricity to power surrounding towns. There is even a comercial about power generation from landfill waste on TV-- So enough of the scam claims - large industry uses hydrogen for fuel, and they derive/create on site. Down scale that technology for
individual autos (or homes) now!!! Stop denying it works in the face of documentation provided in earlier post

I'm not arguing with the effects of leaning out a fuel mixture. But nobody has yet to address the issue of the law of conservation of energy. Thr amount of hydrogen released is not substantial given the amount of energy going in. With a high voltage application, yes you create large volumes of hydrogen! I agree with that 100%.

"Any property installed on a motor vehicle (including installation costs) to enable it to be propelled by a clean-burning fuel*."
"For vehicles that may be propelled by both a clean-burning fuel* and any other fuel, your deduction is generally the additional cost of permitting the use of the clean-burning fuel." And hydrogen is defined by the IRS as one of the allowed clean burning fuels. That's a $2000 to $5000 dollar deduction.

I'm not claiming to be an expert just asking why our government would OK it if it were a scam.

On another note, why would I government be DOING IT THEMSELVES, if it were a scam?

It also bugs me that nobody here has direct 1st hand experience with this stuff either.... But I found a few links (free) that will outline how to build one of these things. I suggest somebody yet it in a controlled test (log MPG for one week before install and after).

I'd do it myself but I bought a motorcycle and will soon be selling my tC. I'm actually getting 45MPG at 100mph!
