Default Graduation Gift Shopping for the Lady. Ladies' Opinions?

so the lady is graduating high school
in a few days. she got accepted to a
private college here in Orlando...Rollins.

getting a full-ride there.
she acheived a lot through high school,
so planning to get her a lil something.

Gucci Belt-Purse. $435.
she likes things perfect so yeah.

of course i would want something
bigger, but Gucci + bigger bag = $$$$$$$.

Sooo...??

I think if she's into that kinda thing, then it'd be a great idea, go for it!

I personally am a coach fan. Love them. It's also cheaper than gucci. But if she's into gucci and will USE the bag, then go for it. If she's the type who is attached to one bag that she really likes, maybe finding something else is a good idea.

When I graduated high school my boyfriend got me a rare book I'd been wanting for several years but could never find. it was touching that he remembered and spent the time and money to find me a perfect copy.

So you don't necessarily have to spend a lot of money. Still, for $435, you have a lot of options.

Then again, what am I saying? If my guy shelled out big $$ for a gucci bag for me, I'd be happy, so go for it!

ha, wow.
great input...everybody.
appreciate it and helps a lot.

well...
i stopped by Coach before i went
into Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc.

she has at least 1 per brand.
Coach, DB, Gucci, LV but mainly uses
the Coach one when we go out.

i talked to her yesterday about it
and she said 'it's a want, but not a need'.

she admitted she would want
$435 worth of clothes rather than a purse
that she'll end up using once in a while.

so...gyeah.

thanks for the input though!

Shopping spree!

My boyfriend did that for valentine's day once. He gave me $300 and we went together to a huuuuge outlet mall near my home with a lot of upscale brands (Versace, Lacoste, ralph lauren, coach, etc) and he got to help me choose new clothes. We both won- I got a ton of new clothes I loved, and he got some say in what I wore.

It was a pretty good valentine's day!

Anyway, good luck with that. You sound like a great guy.

haaaaaaaa. you both won?
i can imagine his part...hahah.

yeah, i guess a girl can't
complain with a shopping spree.

just that type of guy who just
shows up at her house with something new.

usually suprising her goes bad
because i can't keep my mouth shut
or she knows what's up already.

i got her a engraved Tiff & Co. necklaces
about 2 years ago and barerly uses it.

materialistic stuff or not, she deserves a lot.
(luckily i get 50% off Lacoste at work, )

thanks again!!!

my god, I live in the wrong part of the country!

she is sooo lucky!

anyway. I got an engraved tiffany bracelent for valentine's day '04 and I wear it only on special occasions because I am TERRIFIED I am going to lose it. Somehow, though, I never seem to be able to- I'll think I've lost it, and start getting all upset, and suddenly it will crop up again.

I still have it somewhere, even though we're split now...I figure I can always show it to my kids if we ever end up back in each other's lives. Plus it's pretty!

Anyway, anytime someone wants to make me some brownies and surprise me- by all means, be my guest!

ah, sorry to hear that.
well trust me, we're not on our
best of terms right now either.

some say she doesn't deserve
that spree or bag for that price
if we're acting like this...but i try to
be real and i wanna get it because she
earns it. plus others besides materialistic shiz.

i have some familia in FairFax, VA...
so i'll keep you in mind! hahah.

thanks again for the info! you rock.
