i've told people about 5A schools, but they almost don't believe me up here in seattle where you got maybe 1400 total students at a high school.

It's funny, but I think a simple, small stud on the side of the nose is kinda sexy. And I don't normally like anything like that. I personally don't like tattoos, nose rings, or peircings on the eyebrows, lips, cheecks or tounge. But for some reason, if a girl has a little tan (or dark complection) and she has just a small gold ball stud on the side of her nose, I think it's sexy.

I moved to Houston from Austin just before 8th grade and there were very little, if any, differences between the groups, cliques, etc., in Houston as there had been in Austin. I don't think the difference in school size had much to do with it either, since my high school had over 3000 students the year I graduated.
...and to get back on topic, I'm not big into women with a ton of piercings. Some look good with a piercing or two as an accent, but for the most part, it takes away from the natural beauty of the woman.

Arlington, like most of texas, has no where near the black population as everywhere else there(% i think houston was #1 in the us for a number of years), and I imagine that's the reason. We also had tons of dressup cowboys/ropers at my school and they were very backward thinking as well, which probably influenced the school's environment.

To hijack the "Don't Mess With Texas" thread, I say a big NO to it all. Ears, I assume are not included in the face catagory...1set, no more than 2 in the ears, after that, buy a jewerly box to keep your extras in, please. Do you wear all of your clothes at once? Then why wear all your earrings?

I think the eyebrow would just be distracting, the side of the nose would make me think I had a booger problem, the lip looks like she got punched in the mouth and her bottm lip is swole up.....(southern term)

I know, I am old fashioned. But, put a pair of glasses on an y girl and she gets better looking, even the black framed ones.

I would beg to differ and I have never seen you.......to me, it shows a slight imperfection in an otherwise perfect creation.

I don't really dig any facial piercings, other than the nose. Obviously so to some who've seen my own nose stud and the occasional ring. I'm not much a fan of the nose ring but my husband loves it... so I sport it once in a while. But 99% of the time, it's a small stud.

Eyebrow rings can look okay sometimes. It can't be a big piercing and has to be very understated. However, it seems as though many people with the eyebrow piercing end up taking it out at some point. We're now left with a plethora of young girls and women with scars on the eyebrow (that piercing always seems to scar bad).

I can definitely relate to feeling out of touch with the current trends in style and music. I know that piercings really hadn't hit the scene too much until I was well out of high school.

so i'm gonna throw my 2 cents in..even though i'm a girl. i like facial piercings...i like piercing in general. i really don't think i've seen people with piercings that i havent thought looked good except those bullrings that some people wear in their nose....those are crazy. sometimes an eyebrow piercing can make a girl look tough...even if she isn't...worked with a really pretty girl that had this problem. i like the marilyn monroe piercings..they are cute. i would love to get my nose pierced but hesitant about it. i already have 3 in the left ear including a cartilage piercing and 2 in the right ear. i have my tongue and belly button pierced and i'd love more but on me idk if it'd look right to get much else and the BF might freak out if i did. piercings are great and i wish i had gotten more when i was younger because i feel weird thinking about getting them now especially when thinking about trying to get a job these days while having multiple piercings. some places just don't want that.

that be the reason I cut my hair and took out my earring. I found myself at 18 interviewing alongside people twice my age for programming/design jobs. While some places would be fine with a "quirky-looking" punk, most places don't, and the ones that pay very well sure don't.
