Some things I have heard of are:
1.) Drink another beer as fast as you can hold it down. (Actually works I've tried it, doesn't cure it but at least allows you to somewhat function)
2.) Drink Prickly Pear Juice (according to manswers, but I haven't been able to find the stuff.)
3.) Tylenol and Sunglasses for the headache, Peptobismol for the nausea, heart-burn, indigestion, and upset stomach. I've also heard it is a bad idea to take any type of headache medicine until you have got all of the alcohol out of your system as it will intensify the hangover if there is still alcohol in your system.
4.) Drink plenty of water, and take a lukewarm to cool shower
5.) Eat Bananas - You get sugar in the form of fructose, and potassium, which is one of the things you lose lots of when you drink. Bananas are also a natural antacid to help with the nausea, and are high in magnesium which can help relax those pounding blood vessels causing that hangover headache.
6.) Take Vitamin supplements A, B6, and C. You lose a lot of these when you drink
A hangover is your body recovering from an overdose of a depressant drug. Drinking alcohol flushes large amounts of vitamins from your system causing your body to go into metabolic shock to compensate. The faster you replace the vitamins the better.
I guess you could say I've done some research on this.

but yeah vit b complex is important especially thiamine, a tab of multivitamins will help a lot, redbull has vit b complex too and have caffeine that makes you alert
what we give in the hospital called banana bag has most of those mentioned.. we mix dextrose, thiamine, multivitamins, magnesium, potassium, pyridoxine and give it IV.. you do same principle.. redbull though can cause palpatations and fast heart beat that could aggraviate some effects of alcoholic intoxication

id usually have a drink of whatever i did the night before when i woke up.
Also, take 3 tylenol before bed, and drink TONS of water before bed.
Hangovers are not the result of cheap liquor. Ive gotten hangovers the same from Jaquins gin as i did from bombay sapphire.
