I was wondering anyone gotten ticket for smoked or yellow tinted headlight?
I was thinkging about getting yellow tinted but I am 90% sure imma get pulled over for it just like my 12k HID before...

 

It is a red flag floating in the breeze for someone to pull you over and do an inspection.........

 

I got 2 tickets in 2 weeks for yellow headlights.

No to yellow tint ... but they are so pretty....

BTW how about smoked just out of curiousity... not fan of smoke

 

I got a ticket for yellow tinted headlights and i really like the way they look and then my buddy got pulled over for his headlights being smoked out on his Dodge Ram.

 

I ran yellow headlights for about 3 months, maybe longer, maybe shorter but i never got pulled over, and I did a lot of driving, and my lights were always on.

Also, I ran bulbs, not overlays, so that maybe be different, but my bulbs were YELLOW.

 

My bulbs were yellow as well, not overlayed.

Check out what the cop said to me...

Me - "Officer, I didn't know yellow headlights were illegal."

Officer - "Well, now you know".

Me - "Then how come I see a lot of cars out there with yellow headlights?
Some of the Lexus models came with yellow lights and I see them drive right
past officers all the time and they don't do anything about it."

Officer - "Because I haven't pulled them over yet".

Yeah the officer told me I can run yellow fog lights but not headlights. I had a yellow overlay and JDM yellow bulbs so it was pushing out A LOT of yellow.

 

I was told that you aren't even allowed to run your fog lights if it is not foggy.

Then I asked the cop, why don't you pull over all the cars, and I asked very nicely, he said its to much of a hassle.

Some cops are good.. some cops are just a__ holes.

 

I have my headlights and taillights smoked... I've gotten three tickets so far... on the ticket it always says "Modified Lights".

Jersey cops can be bad sometimes but not, you guys have it.

 

I got pulled over and the cop noticed I had my TYC's smoked.. He told me I had to take off the smoked overlays, but then he said mine were still street legal since you can still see the red and white up close.
He told me it was considered illegal if the whole tail light was blacked out preventing you from seeing what was underneath

 

Don't do it. In my hometown it's not a "fix it" ticket, so it cost me $149

 

I got that same ticket... Flow of traffic, they love that.
Back to the yellow headlights. I've got blue projectors, with Silver Star Ultra yellow turn bulbs, but the headlights themselves don't have the Amber inserts.
I've been warned about this. Nothing past that though odd.
