Default I am in need of help. Help me break my lease.

Ok I need some advice... Possibly legal advice.

See, I need to break my lease, but how?

I moved in here in mid July and had a serious bug problem. After weeks and weeks of them trying to get rid of them, I got fed up and they switched me to a new building. (So there went that problem).

Now here I am, new building, new parking spot. My car now is being vandalized. I have come out to it with obscene writing all over the hood and they even jacked all four of my valve stem caps. (All within a week!) I know it's happening here, because every night I go and check on the car and when I unlock it, the alarm unlocks it normally. Then in the morning, the alarm gives me a tamper notice. I know it's here. 100% sure. It seems like the vandalism is starting out slow, I just don't want to take any more risks.

There have also been drive-by shootings IN the actual complex at least three times. All of those times have police reports filed.

My question is, how can I break my lease? I'm feeling nauseous about my safety and the safety of my car. Can I just break the lease due to safety and being threatened by my car being vandalized?

Any other thoughts or ideas?

I need out of here, guys. Help me.

Wow and this is happening in an area of Phoenix?? I don't know what you can do to get out of the lease, but as far as the vandalism goes, if its possible plant a camera somewhere close to your car and have it record the activity around it. If you can do that, you might be able to use it against the management and possibly break the lease.

I would google this issue too and see what pops up. Good luck!

I don't know if you can...but I would call the cops after something happens.

And tell your landlord...whats up! Also read your lease....

your car isn't causing the problem, your location is. i'd move again.

i mean, really, is it just your car being singled out, or is it alot of other cars too? even if you break your lease, and get another car, people would probably still mess with it. i say move again, find another parking space whatever.

but they won't let you break a lease because you live in a bad area where your car gets messed up.
