That is why I always park way out in the parking lot away from other cars. If I have to park next to a car, I make sure it is a BMW or Mercedes. Also, try to park next to a curb so you only have one side to worry about getting dinged. Good luck tracking down the old guy.

Dude take him for everything he's worth! Then put his head through your windshield and make him pay for that too!

Yeah, once you turn 21 you lose your vision, coordination, and bladder control. Good luck, kids!

Yeah, I dont think old people legally have to look behind them when backing up. J/k.

I'm surprised at the number of men over 70 that can't physically turn their head enough to look behind, my FIL included.

I pulled up into a gas station to fill up my truck, but there was an old woman in some huge car parked in the middle of the drive so I just stopped a couple feet behind her and lightly tapped the horn for her to move out of the way and she jumped and threw the car in REVERSE! hit the gas and slammed into the front on my truck! I quickly jumped out yelling at the old dog but she refused to get out so she just sat there for a minute ot two then she took off! I got her plate # and called the police and they said they cannot do anything since it happened on private property. Man was I ticked off so bad it was giving me headaches. I recently bought that truck brand new and she goes and dents my bumper. No damage to her car tho.

This is why I always pack next to another xA when I get the chance. At least we know we both wont try to hit our precious little car.

That's wrong. It doesn't matter as long as there is public access they can and should get her for hit and run. They were just too lazy to do it.
Tell the cops they HAVE to take the report and write her the ticket for misdemeanor hit and run. Then if she had insurance it will pay your damages. If not your insurance will sue her for reimbusment. If you don't want to follow up that's fine too.

Let me start by saying that I am really sorry about your car. If it had been mine, I'd be ____ed too. I just get a kick out of these "I hate old people" threads that come up every once in a while. Do you honestly think a younger person wouldn't do something like that? Older people look at youg drivers (16 to early 20's) as being very unsafe too. As a matter of fact, before you turn 26 you are considered one of the most unsafe drivers on the road. I agree that many older drivers should probably turn in their keys, but that can be said about many young drivers too. I hope your car gets fixed correctly for you.

That's true too. All drivers start out that way....including the one's who have been driving for 60+ years. For some reason it just really bugs me to see people get so hateful towards older drivers. When is the last time an old person vandalized your car just because it's a Scion and he likes Hondas? That doesn't happen. I read about teenagers getting their cars keyed by other teens, but nobody starts threads like, "I hate teenagers!". I don't know...maybe I'm overly sensitive to it now that I'm 40

When that happens we make threads about "haters"
