Oh, Dont get me wrong, insurance is a huge rip off, I somehow managed to pay $220 a month for insurance, I dont remember what the limits are, but they are high, and I have 4 points on my license.

Sure, Insurance is a ripoff, but its a neccesary rip off.

lived at home and didn't pay rent?

I was on my own at 18. If I had been making the $5-7 an hour like most kids that age, i wouldn't be able to afford rent, utilities, insurance, and top ramen off that. there's not even a car payment in that scenario.

For being a redneck you're pretty ignorant about something I figured all rednecks rallied against. There are over 11 million illegals in the us, most mexican and most did NOT come here legally to begin with. The us does NOT grant all that many visa's to mexican citizens to begin with...you need to do your research, I have...

I don't know why all these people south of the border being in a constant state of illegality causes no one to do anything.

I'd like to see hillbilly rednecks start making citizen arrests on illegals.
And i'd like to pay 30 dollars for a pound of oranges. I agree with the ins rounding up illegals who cause trouble and dont contribute a cent to our economy. however, banging down doors and deporting illegals who work hard and pay taxes like any other person, that jus makes me want to hit someone. also, some illegals do collect on welfare yes, but so do millions of legal americans and most dont do anything to try and get off it.
There has actually been research done, if we paid normal wages to us citizens, the price per orange would only increase a penny or two (yes, really)...

There was also research done recently, the average ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT HOUSEHOLD used $30,000 per YEAR in government resources, and only pays about 10,000 in taxes (sales tax for the most part)...so every illegal household is taking 20k per year from us, the tax-payers, not cool in my book. Hard working or not, we should NOT have to take on their burden just because they're poor and here illegally, and we happen to pay taxes

ok, excuse me, I will change "most" and "nearly all" to 1/2:

Modes of Entry for the
Unauthorized Migrant Population
Nearly half of all the unauthorized migrants now living in the United States entered the country legally
through a port of entry such as an airport or a border crossing point where they were subject to inspection by
immigration officials, according to new estimates from the Pew Hispanic Center.
As much as 45% of the total unauthorized migrant population entered the country with visas that allowed
them to visit or reside in the U.S. for a limited amount of time. Known as “overstayers,” these migrants became
part of the unauthorized population when they remained in the country after their visas had expired.
Another smaller share of the unauthorized migrant population entered the country legally from Mexico
using a Border Crossing Card, a document that allows short visits limited to the border region, and then violated
The rest of the unauthorized migrant population, somewhat more than half, entered the country illegally.
Some evaded customs and immigration inspectors at ports of entry by hiding in vehicles such as cargo trucks.
Others trekked through the Arizona desert, waded across the Rio Grande or otherwise eluded the U.S. Border
Patrol which has jurisdiction over all the land areas away from the ports of entry on the borders with Mexico and
The Pew Hispanic Center has previously estimated that there are between 11.5 and 12 million
unauthorized migrants in 2006.1 The calculations reported in this fact sheet suggest that roughly 4.5 to 6 million
or 40 to 50% of the total entered the country legally through ports of entry. Of them, some 4 to 5.5 million
entered with nonimmigrant visas, mostly as tourists or business visitors, and another 250,000 to 500,000 entered

Non-Immigrant Visa Overstayers 4 to 5.5 Million

There are stats all over the place, and it depends on who you listen to.

BTW, I'm surrounded by uneducated hick rednecks, but that doesn't make me one of them. So why don't we leave the name calling on the school yard for the 9 year olds, hmm k?

[quote="citizen01"](Racism and unfounded derogatory remarks are not welcome here)

So... recently there was a protest in LA that ended with police in riot gear breaking it up in response to protestors throwing various objects (bottles, etc) at police. What is your take on this? Did police go too far? [quote]

A different perspective than what you hear from the mainstream media:

Your thoughts?

This video was shot by an illegal alien supporting blogger that refused to disperse from MacArthur Park on May 1. While his intentions were to support the illegal aliens, I feel his video captures a wide range of hostile sentiments present in MacArthur Park on May 1, 2007.

12-25 people are killed by illegal aliens every day in America.

Number of protesters killed on May 1, 2007: 0

I always loved the part in the movie "Day After Tomorrow", when the snow storms hit the US, and people are trying to go into Mexico to avoid the freezing cold, and Mexico closes its borders. Then you see Americans going through the Rio Grande to get into mexico.

Your location says "redneck riviera", and you've got a picture of a deer as you avatar, sorry for jumping to conclusions...really.

And regarding your info, ]As much as 45% of the total unauthorized migrant population entered the country with visas that allowed?

Thats not quite most, in fact thats not even half....regardless of how they got here, they're still a burden on our society and should be sent back, "hard working" or not. Also, with regards to your source, I'd hardly trust anything put out by the US Government on this, especially Homeland "Security"...they don't even enforce the current immigration laws we have in place now, how can we trust their "numbers" on the issue at that?

^^^ It looks more like a "bullcow" lol

whatever good they do to our economy they counteract it with not paying taxes, leaving hospitals w/out paying (no address), etc etc. I wish it wasn't that way, I mean they're hard workers but they are screwing all of us.

That's where we differ.

Well, according to you, you've done all the research, so I'd like to see what you have, your sources, and then by definition who you do trust.

It's not a deer, it's a bull. Deer are much smaller (but arguably tastier), and the horns are much less substantial. But the most substantial thing about him is his message, he carries the gospel truth in his hooves; words to live by :D
