Seen it already. It's been out for awhile. Although some of the drift were CG animated, but most of them are done for reals

 

saw it when it originally came out. recently watched it at a friend's house. the subtitles are hilarious.

i thought it was pretty bad. i prefer the anime movie and 4th stage.

 

It was ok. I thought the casting was funny tho. Go figure that they'd pick jay chou to play a guy that acts as if hes bout to fall asleep while drifting down a curve of a mountain.

Horribly done movie.

Driving is good.

Story line is ridiculous and hardly follows the manga.

 

Yeah, especially when the guy pukes after riding on mount akima

 

Well, considering that they squished pretty hefty parts of first and second stage together into 90 or so minutes, I think they did pretty good. That still doesn't forgive them for writing horrible stuff and misaligning characters (come on, Nakazato is FRIENDS with Ryosuke?!)

Good for people who want to see a driving movie. Not good for people looking for a parallel to the anime series and manga.

good as a stand alone movie, but pales in comparison to the series....

 

The racing in Initial D was good. The Initial D movie without Sub-titles. you can make up your own story as you watch the movie and your own storty line might be better then the movie. I love how had the same races from the anime. they got the racing right. So far the legend of speed is ok. I didn't finish the movie so i don't have a finally opinion on it yet .

I liked it. Lots of famous HK actors, and that dude from 'better luck tomorrow' i think was in it.

I liked it even though it was not true to the manga. Also I have the english version.. makes the movie allot better. They did a good job picking the english voices. Matches the people well.

 

Well you still have my bottle of 151. I guess we are even for now. LOL
