Just seeing who else out there on SL is a fan of Japanese/Anime style RPG games (i.e. Final Fantasy, Tales of Series, Star Ocean, Chrono Trigger, etc..)

ATM I'm playin Star Ocean: First Departure. I was playing Lost Odyssey on 360 but mine took a dump on me so that's been put on hiatus :/

i think i may know what you're talking about. Don't you sit on like one point of a level and you have to shoot the ground out from underneath you're opponent or something like that?

 

no its more of a whole level that u run arround and shoot people. its pretty fun.

 

i am playing Chrono Trigger right now, It is my favorite RPG.
Just finish the first ending, doing the extra caves right now.

 

The DS one right? I never got around to picking that one up quite yet. lol i try not to buy games as much anymore because I need to focus on school

its missing quite a few though. the ones arent in the pic are, off the top of my head, Phantom Brave, Disgaea 1 & 2, Atelier Iris, Stella Dues, Xenosaga 1 &2, Suikoden4 & Suikoden Tactics, Shin Megami Tensei: 'Nocturne' & 'Digital Devil Saga'....and i think thats it. lol!! i got the rest in a bin in my closet w/ all my other RPGs from my PS1 & SNES.

also, i wanna know. what game got you guys hooked to RPGs?? for me, it was Earthboundfor the SNES!!



i remember after that i got hooked to Chrono Trigger & then Secret of Mana! lol!

My first rpg that I lovd as a kid was Zelda: A link to the past for snes..which isn't necessarily the same category. The game that started my love for RPG's in general was Final Fantasy VII..still one of my favorite games of all time..ever since then I've been hooked on RPG's

Xenogears came shortly after taht :D

 

Hey! Grandia III!!

I'm playing through Grandia II right now on the DC. It's freaking addicting. Is Grandia III as good/worth buying? I'm sure its pretty cheap

 

Totally a fan....I also stopped playin Lost Odyssey, but only cause I found out that the "Bosses" level up as you do....So it completely throws off my groove.

 

Do they really? doesn't seem that way..hmmm..i'm on disc 3 in that game..I still need to step up on eternal sonata..also gotta pick up some of the more recent ones to come out for 360..(last remnant, star ocean, etc..) hehe i'm a square enix *****/fan boy

 

Lost Odyssey was fun, i played that a while back too
