Default just bought a Canon 5D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally bought the camera I've been wanting forever. The Canon 5D. Since I got my scion I joined Scion Evolution and really got into car photography after being into photography for years already. I finally got tired of using my Canon 10d and decided to upgrade to a full frame censor camera like the 5d. I ordered it from B&H and can't stand the wait for it to get here ha ha

I am just really excited and wanted to share it with the off topic people on here.

Now I just gotta sell my current setup. Ha ha

Pics or Ban! j/k! But really, I want to see how good it is. It's only fitting that you get a nice camera to take pictures of nice models...oops, car I mean (hot seats, btw. Saw them at SE site).

Aight pics should be coming soon. I've taken a few but nothing I'm proud of. I am loving the full frame sensor. I haven't got to mess with actual wide shots in a while now. The colors are amazing from this lens and camera kit. The clarity is awesome. Noise is almost nill even at ISO's as high as 1600. And being able to expand to 50 and 3200 is awesome. Gotta love this camera. Only con I have found is the vignetting at wide angles and I wish it shot at atleast 5 fps for the price.

ok I haven't had a chance to take any shots of any cars cause of all the rain but here are a few from just around the house and my stock room at work.

The photos of the dogs are a little dark cause this camera doesn't have a built in flash and I was shooting at night.

Lemme know what u think

Nice! The pics of your rottweiler look like dream-scenes/flashbacks because of the dark edges. And the b/w stockroom shots are outright scary (like those "find the ghost in the photo" shots)! lol! Looks cool tho. Did you intentionally make the dark edges?

I bet once you get the flash for indoors, and then try some outdoor shots, they'd would look amazing. I'm trying to shop around for a camera too so I'd love to see some outdoor shots.

(I think your dog likes to get his picture taken )

with the Canon 5 d u get light falloff at the edges of the frame when u do a full on wide angle shot. If i were to zoom in then it wouldn't have the dark edges. I am ordering a fisheye lens this coming monday.

5D is a great pro level camera. I used it for my long trip cross country in 06. Most of my landscapes are with the 5D and 17-40 f/4 L.... Check my sig and go to my Intro. Great Portrait camera as well.

Good luck with your purchase! Get a web site up

I use about 3 diff. lenses atm with my xt. PM me though so we don't; get off topic The 5D is a diff. camera than the XTi and 40D. So the use of lenses will differ.

Yeah I figured that. I like for everything to come out of camera tho. Those shots were just quick shots where I was trying out composition with the new lens. I haven't shot any wide angle shots since I shot with film and really wanted to practice with it. I didn't even worry bout white balance or putting the camera in RAW mode. Just quick jpegs. Heck I wouldn't even know what to fix other than the white balance.

yeah its always nice to have a genuine non photoshopped pics but in real life when you need to take shots fast you cant be tweaking and adjusting your camera every shot you take.. quality would vary on angle and light conditions.
